Untitled Ape Slop - Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Untitled Ape Slop ("the game", "we") is a multiplayer virtual reality game for Meta Quest. This policy explains what information the game collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can have it deleted. We only collect what the game needs to work, keep players safe, and run leaderboards. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| A player ID (your Photon user ID) and the display name you choose in game | To identify you in multiplayer rooms, on leaderboards and in moderation |
| Your chosen fur colour and equipped cosmetics | So other players see your monkey the way you set it up |
| Game stats (for example escapes, deaths, best times, tags, rounds survived) | Leaderboards and in-game rewards |
| Your in-game currency (Jades), items you own, and any badges | So your purchases and rewards are kept |
| Reports you send or that are sent about you (the reported name and reason) | Moderation: to act on cheating, harassment and abuse |
| A salted, one-way hash of your IP address and basic request logs | Security, rate limiting and stopping banned players from coming back. We never store your raw IP address with your account. |
Voice chat
The game has proximity voice chat. If you allow microphone access and leave your mic on, your voice is streamed live to other players near you in the same room through Photon Voice. We do not record or store voice chat. You can turn your microphone off at any time in the game's settings, mute any other player, and the game works fully without microphone permission. Your microphone also stops sending whenever the Quest menu is open or the headset is off.
Who we share it with
- Photon (Exit Games) runs the multiplayer rooms and voice chat. Your player ID, display name, position in the game and voice (while your mic is on) pass through their servers to reach other players.
- Cloudflare hosts our game server and database (accounts, stats, inventory, reports).
- Meta checks that you own the game (entitlement check) when it starts, under Meta's own privacy policy.
- Other players can see your display name, your monkey, badges, cosmetics and leaderboard scores, and hear your voice when you are near them.
We do not share your data with anyone else, except when required by law.
How long we keep it
Account data, stats and items are kept while your account exists so your progress is saved. Reports and moderation records are kept as long as they are needed to keep the game safe. Request logs are kept for a short time only.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your account and everything linked to it (name, stats, items, currency, badges) at any time. Email floppegg@gmail.com with your in-game display name, and we will delete it within 30 days. Moderation records about serious abuse may be kept where needed for safety.
Children
The game is meant for players 13 and older, in line with Meta's age requirements for Quest accounts. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the game, contact us and we will delete their data.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Staff tools are protected with passkeys, and every staff action is logged.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
